One person taken to hospital following north Lethbridge fire

LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services (LFES) responded to an incident at a north side home Wednesday morning.

In total, 13 crew members responded to a residence along the 400 block of 12 Street North at 6:48 a.m. on February 21, 2024.

Responders were able to quickly extinguish the flames, containing the incident to the room it originated in.

Officials said the home smoke detectors were activated, which allowed the two occupants and a pet to exit the residence.

One of the occupants was transported to hospital for assessment, but no injuries, either to the other occupant, pet, or firefighters, were reported. The blaze is under investigation.
