Edmonton man charged by Lethbridge Police in connection with ‘dial-a-dope’ operation

LETHBRIDGE, AB – An Edmonton man has been charged by the Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) after officer say they seized more than $85,000 worth of cocaine.

Members of the Property Crimes Unit and Crime Suppression Team worked together in the investigation of a man allegedly involved in a ‘dial-a-dope’ operation within Lethbridge.

On March 6, 2024, a suspect was arrested without incident. Police said they searched a residence and vehicle in west Lethbridge and found more than 850 grams of cocaine, $24,360 cash proceeds of crime, buffing agent, drug paraphernalia including scales and packaging, along with property believed to be stolen.

Nabil Abdulla, 35, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, and possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.

He was released from custody with various conditions, including a prohibition from attending the City of Lethbridge except for court appearances. Abdulla is due in court on March 21.
