City delays decision on pausing/removing downtown bike lanes
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Residents of Lethbridge will have an opportunity to provide feedback on the future of cycling lanes in the downtown core.
At the regular city council meeting on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, members discussed the possibility of cancelling all bicycle paths and lanes that have yet to be built and to look into the costs of removing the lanes that have already been installed.
The motion was introduced by Councillor Rajko Dodic, who said the implementation of bike lanes have caused many issues for those who frequent the downtown area.
