Year of big wins on the Prairies

Western Canada Lottery Corp. has released the lottery winner breakdown for 2016 on the Prairies.

There were 38 winners in Alberta who took home a total of more than $130 million.

Manitoba had 11 winners, eight of them from Winnipeg. Saskatchewan saw just eight wins.

The two biggest payouts went to two women in small towns. A $60 million prize went to a woman in Neville, Saskatchewan, and a $50 million prize went to a woman in Irma, Alberta. (CJOB)
