LETHBRIDGE, AB – It is an opportunity to win some cash and help out a local non-profit organization.

The Lethbridge & District Exhibition has announced its third annual 50/50 lottery. Proceeds from the program will go towards programming at both Exhibition and Lethbridge Family Services (LFS).

Last year, the lottery raised more than $84,000, with half going to the lottery winner and the other half to community initiatives.

Exhibition Director of Community Engagement Paul Kingsmith says the 50/50 lottery is a key connection point in the community as they are able to support their programming, give back to a community partner, and give ticket buyers the chance to win money.

“We are thrilled to have Lethbridge Family Services join us as our charitable partner. Their work in our community touches so many people and makes our city a better place, and we are excited for the enthusiasm they’ll bring to this year’s campaign,” says Kingsmith.

LFS provides health and social services to more than 9,000 individuals and families in more than 30 communities in southwestern Alberta. They have over 380 staff and 550 volunteers.

LFS Director of Advancement and Communications Michelle Gallucci says she is grateful to partner with Exhibition.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with LDE, as this partnership will enable us to enhance our services and provide even greater value to the 9,000 people we serve in our community,” says Gallucci. “With LDE’s support, we can better address our clients’ needs, delivering innovative solutions and exceptional results.”

Tickets for the 50/50 lottery can be purchased on the Lethbridge & District Exhibition website.
