GRACE DI SABATO, of Lethbridge, beloved wife of the late Joseph Di Sabato, passed away peacefully at the Park Meadows Good Sams on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the age of 85 years.
Grace is survived by her daughter, Josephine Pina (Darrell) Rapuano and son Romeo (Rosalia) Di Sabato of Colorado; four grandchildren: Joshua Troman of Lethbridge, and Adam, Lucas, Timothy Di Sabato of Colorado; and two great-grandchildren, Eliora and Manny Troman of Lethbridge.
Mom fell deeply in love with a photo of my dad and took a long journey, both by ship and train, from Campobasso, Italy, into Canada to marry the love of her life.
She embraced her role as a housewife, and created a warm and nurturing home. She took great pride in raising a family, and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren dearly.
Mom found joy in baking bread, which allowed her to share her love through the comforting aroma of freshly baked loaves. Her passion to knit allowed her to share her handmade creations with the homeless, as well as take care of her family.
Through her dedication to her family and community, she left a lasting legacy that extended far beyond her own home.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION, 2405 – 12 Avenue South, Lethbridge, AB, on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Kevin Tumback celebrating.
