The Lethbridge Hurricanes’ first pre-season road trip comes to an end

LETHBRIDGE, ABThe Lethbridge Hurricanes of the Western Hockey League (WHL) were on the road for a pre-season game against the Red Deer Rebels on Saturday, September 7, 2024.

They went home with a 5-2 loss against the Rebels at Peavey Mart Centrium in Red Deer.

The Hurricanes’ recent defeat brought their pre-season record to 1-1-0-0 at the season’s midpoint. Lethbridge has managed a 1-0-0-0 record at home but is 0-1-0-0 on the road during the pre-season. They will play their third of four exhibition games on Friday, September 13, when they host the Calgary Hitmen at 7:00 p.m. at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena.

Tickets for the game are available for $10.00 online, with proceeds supporting the Lethbridge Minor Hockey Association. Parking will be free for attendees, courtesy of the Lethbridge Hurricanes.

Additionally, fans are encouraged to bring new pairs of socks to the game in support of Onside Restoration’s Socktember. All sock donations will go to local charities, including the YWCA, Grant’s Closet, and Lethbridge Family Services.
