It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of HAROLD EUGENE McCORMICK, formerly of Springhill, Nova Scotia, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Harold passed away peacefully, at Chinook Regional Hospital in Lethbridge, Alberta on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, at the age of 77. Leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.
Harold is survived by his devoted daughters, Dianna Kelly (Terry) and Holly Bandelow (Kevin), who will forever hold him in their hearts. He was a proud grandfather to Shay Formoe (Jake), great-grandfather to Logan and Jaxson, Scott Hayes and Dustin Hartum, Debbie Roblee (Doug), David McCormick (John), Donna Smith (Richard), Randy McCormick (Judy). His family was his pride and joy, and he treasured every moment spent with them.
Harold was predeceased by his parents, Betty and Leonard McCormick, sister Sandra Reynolds, and brother Greg McCormick
Born with a sweet tooth, Harold had a particular fondness for taking a drive and enjoying his love of ice cream. It was the simple things which brought him joy throughout his life. He was also an avid card player, always ready for a game with family and friends.
Harold served his country with honor in the Canadian military from 1966 to 1980. His dedication and service to his nation were a testament to his character and commitment.
Harold’s warmth, kindness, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
Rest in peace, Harold, Dad, Papa, you will be forever remembered and loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held at CORNERSTONE FUNERAL HOME, 2825 – 32 Street South, Lethbridge, AB, on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 1:00 P.M.
