Canes close out pre-season with a win

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will enter the 2024 WHL regular season on a high note.

The Hurricanes traveled to Medicine Hat on Sunday, September 15 to face the Tigers and came out with a 6-3 in their final pre-season bout.

Leo Braillard hit the net twice for the Canes while Kooper Gizowski had one goal and two assists.

Medicine Hat tied the game up 6:38 into the third period, but the Hurricanes were on fire in the closing six minutes as Will Scott, Gavin Lesiuk and Leo Braillard ensured their victory.

The Canes finished the pre-season with a 2-2 record.

The regular season opens on Friday, September 20 when the Lethbridge Hurricanes host the Edmonton Oil Kings at the VisitLethbridge.com Arena

Puck drop is at 7:00 p.m.
