Pronghorns hosting eight team softball tournament in Coaldale from September 20-22

A major collegiate softball tournament is being held in Coaldale this weekend.

The University of Lethbridge Pronghorns softball team is among the eight teams competing in their league play tournament at the Quads-Baseball and Soccer Fields from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22.

Joining the Pronghorns in the tournament are the following teams:

  • SAIT Trojans
  • University of Calgary (U of C) Dinos
  • Mount Royal University (MRU) Cougars
  • University of Saskatchewan (USask) Huskies
  • University of Regina (U of R) Cougars
  • University of Victoria (UVic) Vikes
  • University of British Columbia – Okanagan (UBCO) Heat

The Pronghorns kick off the tournament at 5:30 on Friday night, taking on the SAIT Trojans. They will then play two games on Saturday against the U of C and UVic, before taking on UBCO and MRU on Sunday.

The Pronghorns are in the midst of a very successful season, finishing with a 5-0 record in last weekend’s tournament in Regina to move them into first place in the league with a 10-4-1 record.
