Taber Fire Department responds to structure fire

TABER, AB – The Taber Fire Department (TFD) responded to a structure fire in the 5000 block of 53rd Street at 5:33 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
The duty officer arrived to a working fire in a single family residence and was able to ensure the residents were out of the home. Fire crews knocked down the fire soon after.
Three people were transported for smoke inhalation by Alberta Health Services and released later in the evening. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it is not considered to be suspicious.
The damage is estimated at $40,000.
