Lethbridge police looking to identify 10 suspects in break-in, theft at downtown business

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service is investigating a break-in and theft at a downtown business.

On Monday, September 23, at 5:20 a.m., staff arrived at Cookie Crimes along the 300 block of 6 Street South and discovered the front window had been smashed.

Police were called and the investigation determined the break-in occurred at approximately 1:30 a.m. after two subjects smashed the glass and entered the store. Throughout the night video surveillance recorded eight more subjects enter the business through the broken window and steal property.

In total over $1,500 worth of ice cream and other property was stolen and damages to the business are estimated at $1000.

Officers searched downtown, but did not locate anyone matching the description of the subjects. Photos of the suspects can be found on the LPS website.
