LETHBRIDGE, AB – Three Lethbridge Hurricanes are doing their part to give back.

The team announced on Wednesday, October 9, that forward Miguel Marques and defencemen Tristen Doyle and Will Sharpe will donate to the Alberta Children’s Hospital during the 2024-2025 Western Hockey League regular season.

The trio will donate $10 per point collected during the regular season to the hospital. This comes after last season, where the three, along with the Lethbridge Hurricanes organization, donated over $2000 to KidSport Lethbridge and Taber and the Canadian Cancer Society.

As in past years, the Hurricanes will be matching the donation total made by Marques, Sharpe and Doyle.

Sharpe says, “All of us have either been impacted or know someone who has been impacted and has required something like the Alberta Children’s Hospital. The three of us chose this charity because of the work they do for the children and their families.”

This season marks the tenth season that Hurricanes players have donated to community charities. It began in 2015-16 when then-captain Tyler Wong began the initiative.
