LETHBRIDGE, AB – A local food bank is being celebrated for its high level of service.

For the second consecutive year, Interfaith Food Bank has been included on the Top 100 Charities List generated by Charity Intelligence.

This recognition comes on the heels of their achievement of being named a Top 10 Impact Food Bank for the last 3 years.

Danielle McIntyre, Executive Director with Interfaith Food Bank says, “It is an absolute honor to have our work recognized this way. It speaks to the impact to the families we serve, and the return on investment to donors looking to ensure their donations are truly making a difference. “

She added, “We are particularly proud of this achievement as it was not a contest we applied for or competed in, but an independent assessment of our work as a charitable organization.”

Charity Intelligence recognizes Interfaith Food Bank as a 5-star charity with a High Impact Score. They say it is financially transparent, has reasonable overhead costs and an above average results reporting grade. For every dollar donated to the charity, 84 cents are available to go to their cause.

Charity Intelligence is also preparing its lists of Top Impact Charities, which is set to be released in November.
