LETHBRIDGE, AB – It is Thanksgiving long weekend, and in between turkey dinners, there are plenty of events around Lethbridge to check out. Lethbridge News Now has the details.

Fall Clean Up – October 11, 2024

As the seasons change, the Martha Retreat Centre is calling on volunteers to join them for a day of fresh air and fellowship at the Fall Clean-Up. Snacks, lunch and refreshments will be provided, and it runs until 3:00 p.m.

Lethbridge Hurricanes vs. Vancouver Giants – October 11, 2024

The Lethbridge Hurricanes return to the VisitLethbridge.com Arena on Friday night for a home game against the Vancouver Giants. The Hurricanes have started the 2024-25 season with a 4-1-0-0 record, and welcome new addition Shane Smith to the lineup for the game. Puck drop is at 7:00, and tickets can be found here.

Navli Navratri 2024 – October 11-13, 2024

Navli Navratri 2024 is in Lethbridge this weekend at the Lethbridge & District Exhibition. The event is part of a nine-day Hindu celebration of the goddess Durga, and her victory over Mahishasura. The event fetaures live music, dancing and more.

Lethbridge Handmade Market – October 12, 2024

The Lethbridge Handmade Market returns for 2024 this Saturday at the Agri-Food Hub & Trade Centre. The market features over 150 handmade artisans, as well as live music, a costume contest , door prizes and trick or treating for the younger attendees. The event runs from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Chess Fest – October 13, 2024

The University of Lethbridge’s Chess for Life program is bringing chess to the community on Sunday at the Galt Museum. The interactive event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and includes everything from a youth tournament to chess demonstrations and fun family-oriented activities like outdoor chess and Building Brains Together family play.
