Lethbridge Recovery Community celebrating one year of operations
LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Alberta Government is recognizing one year of operations at the Lethbridge Recovery Community.
Construction on the Lethbridge Recovery Community began in spring 2022. The 50-bed facility opened its doors in September 2023, and is operated by Fresh Start Recovery. Since then, over 110 people have received long-term addiction treatment at the facility.
Clients of the recovery community can stay for up to one year if their situation requires, and the average length of stay is about four months.
Bruce Holstead, executive director of Fresh Start Recovery says he’s proud of the success seen at the community so far, “Over this past year, we’ve seen lives change. These personal journeys reflect a shared dedication to holistic recovery and creating a stronger, more resilient community. “
