Applications open for Lethbridge’s Re-Imagine Downtown grants

LETHBRIDGE, AB – If you have an idea for something that can boost vibrancy in Lethbridge’s downtown core, you can now apply for funding to make it happen.

The City of Lethbridge is now accepting applications for its 2025 Re-Imagine Downtown grants.

The program focuses on activating vacant and underutilized private and public spaces.

A total of $120,000 will be given out to businesses, entrepreneurs, organizations, and community-minded individuals.

This year, there will be a particular focus on Galt Gardens. Events that are held there are eligible for up to $15,000 per initiative, while events outside of the park can net up to $10,000.

The City is expanding the eligibility boundary to include the Warehouse District and 13 Street North. Events held outside the June-to-September peak season will also be a priority.

Applications are open until December 31, 2024.
