Lethbridge woman charged in drug bust

LETHBRIDGE, AB – The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) has apprehended a woman who is accused of drug trafficking.

On Thursday, December 19, 2024, officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in a southside neighbourhood.

Police say they observed activities consistent with drug trafficking and arrested a suspect on the 100 block of 1 Avenue South.

LPS obtained a search warrant and allegedly confiscated 286 grams of fentanyl (2,860 doses), 87 grams of methamphetamine (870 doses) and 3.4 grams of heroin. The estimated street value of the drugs was approximately $16,900.

Officers also claimed to have seized $9,727 in cash.

Alannah Rilley Anderson, 28, of Lethbridge, is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of the proceeds of crime over $5,000.

She has been released from custody following a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear in court on January 28, 2025.
