BASSANO, AB – The RCMP is asking drivers to avoid a section of Highway 1 just west of Bassano.
On Monday morning, December 23, 2024, officers say they are responding to a “serious motor vehicle collision” on Highway 1, approximately two kilometres east of Highway 56.
The road is closed in both directions and emergency crews are on scene.
Drivers are urged to use alternate routes.
