Lethbridge Police looking for witnesses of assault outside nightclub

Lethbridge Police are investigating an aggravated assault outside a downtown night club.

On Sunday, December 22, 2024 just before 5:00 a.m., an officer patrolling along the 200 block of 13 Street South heard someone calling for help and located a 24-year-old male on the ground in medical distress.

Police say the victim had been at the Pulse nightclub along the 1000 block of 1 Avenue South around 2:20 a.m. when he became involved in a physical altercation with a group of men parked in a black pickup truck parked in front of the club.

The victim left the area, and did not realize until later in the morning that he had sustained serious injuries. He remains in hospital in stable condition.

Police say the suspects are three Indigenous males, one of them with a larger build. Anyone who may have witnessed the altercation is asked to contact LPS at 403-328-4444 and reference file 24024988.

The investigation is ongoing.
