Fort Macleod woman wins $100,000

A local woman is the latest to experience the thrill of winning the lottery.

The Western Canada Lottery Corporation (WCLC) says Melorie Yellow Wings won $100,000 on the LOTTO MAX EXTRA draw from November 29, 2024.

She went to scan her ticket at the Piikani Travel Centre in Brocket and says she was in such disbelief, she had to have the cashier confirm the win.

“My kids were with me,” she said. “And we were all so excited!”
