The Government of Alberta has announced funding for several non-profit organizations.

Through the Community Facility Enhancement Program and Community Initiatives Program, a total of 226 groups across the province will be supported.

Minister of Arts, Culture and Status of Women Tanya Fir says the money will help to support projects such as community park enhancements, museum exhibits, art centres’ programming, music and cultural festivals, and social programs.

“We are strengthening our vital non-profit sector that improves community spaces and spirit to make sure Alberta continues to be the best province to live, work and raise a family. Alberta’s government is proud to support these projects that have a real impact in the daily life of Albertans,” says Fir.

In southern Alberta, 19 organizations will receive a combined $1,108,334.
