Over $35,000 worth of drugs seized in Brooks

The RCMP has arrested two people in Brooks in connection to alleged drug trafficking.

On Thursday, January 30, 2025, officers searched a vehicle in the Sunny Lea area and two homes on Maple Drive and Greenbrook Road.

The RCMP says a “significant quantity” of illegal drugs were located at all three locations.

Brooks RCMP claims to have seized:

  • 183 grams of cocaine with an estimated street value of $18,350
  • 55 grams of methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $3,300
  • 700 tablets of dilaudid (hydromorphone) with an estimated street value of $14,000

A 58-year-old woman and a 37-year-old woman are charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.

According to the RCMP, their names cannot be released at this time as they have yet to be sworn into court.
