Claresholm man allegedly caught with weapons, drugs, break-in tools

The RCMP has apprehended a man in connection to a break-and-enter in the Claresholm area.

On February 18, 2025, officers say they received a report of a suspicious vehicle heading westbound from Nanton on Highway 533.

The vehicle was stopped and a suspect, who was known to police, was found driving it.

According to the RCMP, the suspect did not have a proper driver’s license and had no registration or insurance.

One of the attending officers says a firearm was located within plain view. The suspect was arrested.

Following a search of the vehicle, the RCMP claims to have confiscated:

  • Over 18 grams of Methamphetamine
  • A .22 caliber rifle
  • A large quantity of stripped copper wire
  • Break-in tools including a balaclava and two-way radios
  • A restricted empty rifle magazine
  • Approximately 600 rounds of ammunition

Jaden Ross Vincent, 28, of Claresholm, is charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

He was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
