Every candidate running in southern Alberta in the 2025 federal election

A total of 20 people are looking to represent the four federal ridings south of Calgary.

Elections Canada has released its list of every candidate for the 2025 federal election.

LNN has reached out to all candidates in the local ridings and has published articles on many of them, but there are still a few that we are waiting to hear back from. As more candidates get back to us, we will link the articles on them running in the list below.

Here are the candidates that are confirmed to be running in your communities:

Bow River

Foothills

Lethbridge

Medicine Hat—Cardston—Warner

You can see the full list of candidates in every riding across the country on Elections Canada.

Residents should have already received their voter information cards, which will tell you when and where to cast your ballots. For voters in Lethbridge, note that Elections Canada has mistakenly assigned some people to polling stations that are farther away from where they live.

Advance voting takes place from April 18-21.

Ballots can be cast at your local Elections Canada office at any time until April 22 at 6:00 p.m. For Lethbridge, the address is 640 13 Street North.

Residents can also apply for a mail-in ballot by April 22 at 6:00 p.m.

The general voting day is on Monday, April 28, 2025.
