Nobody hurt in north Lethbridge fire, power restored to nearby homes

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services (LFES) is continuing to investigate a residential fire on the north side.

Around 8:40 a.m. on Friday, April 25, crews were called to a home on the 1700 block of 2 Avenue North.

The 17 firefighters arrived to find flames and smoke coming from a garage. The blaze was put out within minutes, and it was contained to the garage.

Homes on either side of the fire had smoke damage.

It also burned a utility pole, resulting in an outage to 224 customers. Power has since been returned to the impacted residents.

LFES says nobody was hurt, and damages are estimated at approximately $75,000.
