Lethbridge County offering post-secondary scholarships

Lethbridge County residents thinking of continuing their education can apply for scholarships.

The County’s Post-Secondary Bursary program will award three students with $1,500 each.

Eligible applicants must be entering their first year of post-secondary school at an accredited institution, but they do not have to be current high school students. Mature students are also encouraged to apply.

Those who have good academic standing and good citizenship will be considered, and all applicants must reside in Lethbridge County.

The deadline to apply is June 1, 2025. The awards will be disbursed by August 31, 2025, with proof of enrollment.

In addition to the County’s bursaries, additional financial rewards are being offered through the County’s collaboration with the Potentia Renewables Inc. Stirling Wind Project. Two scholarships will of up to $2,000 will be given out.

Eligible applicants include current high school students who are planning to study in the fields of science, technology, engineering or mathematics (STEM).

Prospective students will have until July 31, 2025, to apply for the Community Benefit Scholarship.
