Ryder Ritchie found the back of the net twice while adding an assist, as the Medicine Hat Tigers toppled the Moncton Wildcats 3-1.

The Tigers poured 41 shots onto the net of Wildcats netminder Mathis Rosseau, who faced over 40 shots for the second consecutive game.

Ritchie opened the scoring for the second straight game for the Tigers, striking 4:42 into the opening frame.

The Minnesota Wild product would add his third of the tournament just shy of the halfway mark of the game, with nine seconds remaining in a Medicine Hat man-advantage.

Moncton would make a game of it early in the third, striking 31 seconds into the final stanza to get within a goal.

Penalty woes would rear their head for Moncton, derailing their comeback attempt with the final blow coming via a too-many-men call with 1:22 left in regulation.

Four Broncos Memorial Trophy winner Gavin McKenna would add an empty-netter for the Tabbies with seven seconds remaining, securing Medicine Hat the 3-1 win.

The Tigers will face off against the OHL champion London Knights Tuesday night, with the winner securing a spot in Sunday’s Memorial Cup final.
