Lethbridge’s Francophone community celebrates Saint-Jean with Family Carnival and Outdoor Concert
Francophone organizations in Lethbridge are inviting the public to come together and celebrate Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day with a festive and inclusive event taking place June 24, 2025.
This free, open-to-all carnival event aims to highlight the richness of Alberta’s francophone culture through a fun, intergenerational, and inclusive program, starting at 4:30 p.m. at Galt Gardens.
Guests of all ages can enjoy bouncy castles, carnival games, face painting, a special effects workshop, crib tournaments, and a welcoming atmosphere in the heart of downtown. The francophone band Les Accentués will perform a free concert at 6:00 p.m. on the main stage, closing the event with music and celebration.
“This event is a perfect opportunity to bring our community together, celebrate our culture, and strengthen connections among francophones in the region,” says Salina Hewko – President of ACFA Lethbridge. “We look forward to welcoming a broad audience of both francophones and francophiles to join in the celebration of our cultural pride.”
