One killed in collision in Lethbridge

UPDATE (8:25 a.m. August 15) No charges in fatal motorcycle collision in Lethbridge

UPDATE (9:40 a.m. July 9): The Lethbridge Police Service (LPS) says a collision Tuesday evening was fatal.

At 4:52 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, officers were called to the intersection of Highway 3 and 30 Street North.

They say a motorcycle and a pick-up truck collided.

A 62-year-old from Lethbridge, who was the lone rider on the motorcycle, was taken to Chinook Regional Hospital with serious injuries and later died in hospital.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

Anybody who has dashcam footage or video surveillance of the area around the time of the collision is asked to call LPS at 403-393-4115.

There is no word on any potential charges at this time, but police are continuing to investigate.

Police are continuing to investigate a motor vehicle collision along Highway 3 in Lethbridge that they described as serious.

According to LPS, it occurred in the area of the highway and 30 Street around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
