Residents of Lethbridge can take in some slo-pitch action this weekend, featuring some of the best players in the province.

The city is hosting the 2025 Alberta Provincial Championship from Friday to Sunday, July 11-13, 2025.

The Valley Men’s Slo-Pitch team will represent Lethbridge and southern Alberta.

Eight teams are competing, with the first contests starting between 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, then throughout the rest of the weekend.

Each team plays four round-robin games.

Lethbridge has a long history of slo-pitch competition, dating back 46 years to 1979. Former clubs such as the Lethbridge Gotschna, Schwartz Angels, Great West Fire/Super Sams, and Val Matterotti Suntanas have all won championships.

The last time Lethbridge hosted a Slo-Pitch event was in 2018.

The 2025 Alberta Provincial Championships take place in Softball Valley, and it will serve as a qualifier for the Canadian championships.
