Hurricanes’ Leo Braillard signs with Swiss pro team

A member of the Lethbridge Hurricanes will be heading back to his home country.

Leo Braillard has signed a professional contract with the EHC Biel-Bienne in Switzerland for the 2025-26 season.

The 20-year-old is originally from La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, and was drafted by the Canes in the first round (36th overall) of the 2022 CHL Import Draft and was claimed by Lethbridge on CHL Waivers in the 2023-24 season.

He appeared in 53 regular-season games with the Hurricanes this past season, totalling a career-high 46 points (26g-20a) with 25 penalty minutes and a plus-11 rating. Braillard finished third in goals and fifth in points for Lethbridge in 2024-25.
