A celebration of local food and dining establishments is on display this week at Alberta on the Plate.

The group describes it as a “province-wide love letter to the land, the producers, and the culinary creators who make Alberta a true agricultural gem.”

Rheannon Green, Program Coordinator for Alberta on the Plate, says 16 communities are taking part this year.

“Alberta on the Plate’s annual celebration shines a spotlight on the province’s rich food landscape. By elevating local ingredients and the artisans behind them, it fuels economic momentum and champions Alberta’s restaurants, farms, and producers as the backbone of our thriving food economy,” says Green.

Three businesses in Lethbridge are taking part – Nikka Yuko Japanese Garden, The Conscious Cafe, and Theoretically Brewing.

The event continues until Sunday, August 17.
