Fresh Start Recovery’s annual Whoop-Up Days barbecue

Fresh Start Recovery is set to host a community barbecue Aug. 20.

Organizers say they have a jam-packed afternoon planned with great food, games, and entertainment.

Officials say the Sage Clan has graciously offered to have a Tipi raising demonstration and games. Willy Big Bull will be performing, and there will be face painting, cotton candy and a petting zoo for the kids.

Fresh Start Recovery’s kitchen staff will prepare a wonderful homemade meal, with some vegetarian and gluten-free options also available.

The event is scheduled for Aug. 20, from 11 am to 3 pm at Fresh Start Recovery in Lethbridge. Attendees are encouraged to meet their executive director, Bruce Holstead and their staff, tour their facility and enjoy a meal with them.
