A two-term member of city council in Lethbridge is seeking a third.

Mark Campbell has announced that he will be running for re-election in the 2025 municipal election, set for October 8-20.

He provided the following answers to an LNN questionnaire:

Why did you want to run for Lethbridge City Council?

I’ve lived in Lethbridge all my life. I love my city and I want to continue to be a part of making important decisions that make this city better.

What personal or professional experience do you have that you feel would make you a good city councillor?

I’ve had two terms on council and the experience has been vital. As many first-year concillors will confirm, that first year can be very intimidating. I’ve learned the importance of governance, developing relationships within the city and with other levels of government, and understanding what truly matters to the citizens of Lethbridge. I have learned to prepare for all issues and to listen to all sides to make informed decisions.

What would be a few of your top priorities if elected?

  • Safety: We must continue to fund our police services.
  • Housing.
  • Attract new businesses and retain businesses.
  • Water and Waste water improvements.
  • Airport improvement

Is there anything else you would like to add?

It’s been an honor and a privilege to be on council for the past 8 years and I would love your support in October. Even if you don’t put an X beside my name, I encourage everyone to get out and vote because it really does matter.
