A man from Taber faces a trio of charges following a road-related incident this week.

At approximately 9:20 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15, the Taber Police Service (TPS) attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a black Audi.

Officers say the vehicle was speeding near the Skate Park and did not have a license plate.

“The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed, almost colliding with a parked vehicle,’ reads a news release from the TPS.

Police claim that the vehicle continued to speed through a stop sign on 50 Avenue and then turned northbound onto Highway 864.

The attending officers did not initiate a pursuit due to concerns for public safety.

The vehicle was found a short time later in the industrial area, and the driver was arrested without incident.

A 21-year-old man from Taber is charged with flight from a police officer, dangerous driving, and operating an unregistered vehicle.

Because charges have yet to be officially sworn in at court, the driver’s name is not being released at this time.

He is scheduled to appear in court on November 25, 2025.
