We could soon see a few members of the Lethbridge Hurricanes playing in the pro league.

The NHL’s Central Scouting Service has released its Preliminary Players to Watch List. It provides insight into which up-and-coming players might be selected in the 2026 NHL Draft.

Koen Cleaver, 18, was ranked as a “W” goaltender, which indicates a projected sixth or seventh-round draft pick.

He was originally selected by the Canes in the third round (48th overall) in the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.

Cleaver has appeared in 34 career regular-season games, amassing a record of 14-15-1-1 with a 3.65 GAA and a .882 save percentage with three shutouts.

Gavin Lesiuk was ranked as a “W” skater.

He was originally selected by Lethbridge in the second round (36th overall) in the 2023 WHL Prospects Draft.

Lesiuk has appeared in 45 career regular-season games over the last three seasons, collecting 10 points (4g-6a) with 44 penalty minutes.

As well, NHL Central Scouting ranked Hurricanes prospects Dayne Beuker and Logan Stuart as “B” skaters, while Filip Novak was listed as a “C” skater.

A “B” category indicates those who are projected to be a second or third-round draft selection, while “C” projects a potential fourth or fifth-round pick.
