Blood Tribe man charged with second-degree murder

The Blood Tribe Police Service (BTPS) has arrested a man after another was killed.

At approximately 5:20 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 20, officers were called to a home in the Moses Lake area on reports that a man had been shot.

Life-saving measures were attempted, but a 30-year-old man from the Blood Tribe was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation, and members were assisted by the BTPS, Lethbridge and Coaldale RCMP Police Dog Services, and Cardston RCMP.

Tyler Bird, 20, of the Blood Tribe, faces one count of second-degree murder.
