During this week’s run, Parkrun volunteers recognized Kip Kangogo and Richard Larouche.

Kangogo won the Calgary and Edmonton Marathons this summer and scored second at the Victoria Marathon with a time of 2 hours and 25 minutes.

Larouche won the Lethbridge Police Service Half Marathon in a time of 1 hour and 15 minutes and accomplished a personal best of 2 hours and 38 minutes at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon.

Henderson Lake parkrun event director Jim Carter says Kangogo and Larouche’s dedication and achievements reflect the spirit of Parkrun and show that it is truly for everyone.

Parkrun takes place every Saturday at 9:00 a.m. local time and has over 2300 participating events.
