Commemorative crosswalk installation to honour Veterans

Traffic will be closed Tuesday Oct. 28, between 4 Avenue South and 10 Street South while the City of Lethbridge installs a new, commemorative crosswalk near the Cenotaph.

Located as the intersection of 4 Avenue South and 10 Street South, the Remembrance Day/Veterans Crosswalk is meant to honour Lethbridge’s veterans and continues the City’s tradition of decorative crosswalks to reflect community values.

The design, selected by the Lethbridge Legion, features a solider silhouette along with the phrase “Lest We Forget” in English, French, and Blackfoot.

During the closure, traffic and transit will be detoured, with the work anticipated to last one day, weather permitting, plus some minor touches the next day.
