Giving Season

Lethbridge organizations partner up to bring holiday support to local families and seniors

Nov 4, 2025 | 12:38 PM

Several Lethbridge organizations are partnering up once again with the goal of helping local families and individuals in need to receive support during the holiday season.

The Christmas Hope campaign is a community-wide partnership that includes:

  • Lethbridge Food Bank
  • Interfaith Food Bank
  • The Salvation Army
  • Lethbridge Family Services Angel Tree
  • MyCityCare Shop of Wonders
  • Volunteer Lethbridge
  • Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization’s Golden Giving Tree

New to the group this year is the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization’s Golden Giving Tree, aimed at helping seniors in the community. Together, the partners expect to serve about 250 seniors, 3,000 adults, and 6,000 children this Christmas.

The initiative aims to reduce overlap between agencies while ensuring that each household receives the support it needs.

“Volunteer Lethbridge is proud and excited to join forces with Christmas Hope,” said Sandi Davis, representing Volunteer Lethbridge. “We know there are many community members who want to share their time, talents, and resources, especially during the holiday season. Having a centralized location to access volunteer opportunities will help spread the spirit of Christmas further into the community.”

Community members are encouraged to get involved through Volunteer Lethbridge, which will promote opportunities and connect volunteers with partner agencies. Individuals and groups can use the code word “Christmas Hope” when searching for volunteer options.
