RCMP investigating fatal collision in Sparwood

A fatal incident in Sparwood, B.C. is now being investigated by the Southeast Major Crime Unit.

Elk Valley RCMP were called around 9:52 p.m. on Nov. 2, to the A&W on Aspen Drive, where a man had been struck by a grey 2017 Toyota Tundra.

Despite efforts from first responders, police say the man died of his injuries at the scene. RCMP say they are still gathering information about what happened.

Investigators are asking anyone who saw a Toyota Tundra with B.C. licence plate LV4-015 being driven that night to contact them.

“We are in the very early stages; we are still gathering details about what transpired,” said Staff Sgt. Jason Smart of the Southeast District Major Crime Unit.
