Plane crash at Medicine Hat Regional Airport

Emergency service providers and operations staff at the Medicine Hat Regional Airport responded to an incident involving a small aircraft on the main runway at approximately 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 12, 2025.

According to the City of Medicine Hat, the incident was caused by the aircraft landing too early on the runway.

No injuries have been reported at this time, and it has not been stated how many passengers were on board.

The operations team is actively working to restore normal airport operations as quickly as possible.

All affected airport users have been notified.

As of 4:46 p.m. on Wednesday, the City of Medicine Hat said the runway was clear and normal operations have resumed.
