Province announces 2024 Inspiration Awards recipients in recognition of preventing violence
The Government of Alberta has released the winners of its 2024 Inspirations Awards, which celebrate the efforts of individuals and organizations in Alberta for their work in preventing and reducing family, sexual and gender-based violence and abuse.
The awards provide the province with an opportunity to say thank you to 10 individuals and organizations for their dedication to inspiring change.
“The Inspiration Awards celebrate Alberta’s unsung heroes dedicated to reducing and preventing violence and abuse,” said Searle Turton, Minister of Children and Family Services, in a media release. “I am proud to celebrate these 10 outstanding award recipients whose advocacy, research, education programs, innovative technologies and other supports are making our communities safer and more welcoming for everyone.”
Recognizing the important work being done to prevent all forms of violence and abuse across the province aligns with Building on our Strengths, Alberta’s 10-year Strategy to End Gender-Based Violence.
