Nominations open for Lethbridge Sports Hall of Fame

Nominations can be made in the following categories:

Athlete: recognizing those who have distinguished themselves in competition in Lethbridge or elsewhere, or by example have brought great credit to the sport and high respect for the individual.
Team: recognizing Lethbridge-based teams that have won a national, international or world championship, or have achieved the highest possible award at their level of competition.
Builder: to formally recognize the initiative, leadership and dedication of those individuals who participate in the development of sport.
Special award: recognizing individuals and/or organizations that have made an outstanding and valuable contribution to sports or to the community of Lethbridge through sports. This category is to reward those who have made these significant contributions but do not qualify under the other categories.

The 2026 induction ceremony will take place on May 8.

Athlete – Kyle McLaren
Athlete – Curtis Hatch
Team Award – Combined baseball powerhouses the Lethbridge Miners 1986 and Lethbridge Elks 1987 teams.
Builder – Kevin Kvame
Builders – Hurricane Group
Special Award – Malcom Kano
Historical Inductee – Herman Linder
Kinsmen Sports Persons of the Year:
- Keyara Wardley – Women’s Sevens Rugby
- Apollo (Fox) Hess – Swimming
