Lethbridge senior suffers serious burns in garage fire

One man has been hospitalized following a fire on the north side.

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services says crews from four stations attended a home on 10 Street North around 9:50 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 26.

A bystander reported a fire inside a garage, and a man was injured on the ground.

Firefighters say they arrived to find two small fires in the garage. They were both quickly extinguished.

An elderly man suffered serious burns and was taken to hospital for treatment.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
