One person dead after falling through ice near Bow Island

Bow Island Emergency Services has confirmed that an individual who fell through the ice in southern Alberta has died.
Members of the Bow Island Fire Department were dispatched to Rattlesnake Lake, approximately 37 km northeast of the town, on Thursday, January 1, at 9:43 p.m.
Multiple crews responded to the call. The individual was located and retrieved, but did not survive.
Emergency Services reminds the public to use care and attention if they choose to go out onto frozen bodies of water.
