Two communities in southern Alberta were particularly warm this past weekend.
Environment Canada reports that heat records were set in five locations across the province on Sunday, January 11, including Milk River and Bow Island.
Milk River was the hottest at 10.5 degrees Celsius, breaking its old record of 9.5 degrees that was set in 2010.
Bow Island got up to 9.9 degrees, toppling its record of 8.9 degrees that was set 65 years ago in 1961.
