Three Lethbridge Hurricanes make NHL Central Scouting list

The NHL says it is keeping a close eye on 200 members of the Canadian Hockey League (CHL).

NHL Central Scouting has released its Midterm Rankings, identifying key players from the Western Hockey League, Ontario Hockey League, and Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League that could be selected in the 2026 NHL Draft.

Gavin McKenna, who has been with the Medicine Hat Tigers for the last three seasons, is the number one-ranked prospect in the CHL. He is also the CHL and WHL Player of the Year.

There members of the Lethbridge Hurricanes also made the list, including:

  • #177 – Gavin Lesiuk
  • #220 – Nathan Maloney
