Don Donison to be inducted into BILD Lethbridge Hall of Fame

The BILD Lethbridge Region has announced the latest inductee into its Hall of Fame.

They are posthumously recognizing Don Donison for his long-standing service, leadership, and lasting impact on the residential construction industry in Lethbridge.

He founded the Overhead Door Company in 1975. Over the last 50 years, he has helped to expand it from a single local operation to a multi-location business serving Lethbridge, Calgary, and Cranbrook, B.C.

BILD says Donison displayed a consistent focus on quality workmanship, customer service, and sustainable business growth, and that the company’s long-term success reflects his disciplined approach to leadership and building strong relationships in the community.

He was a long-time member of the BILD Lethbridge Region, and served as its president from 1988-89.

“Don Donison represented the strong leadership through service,” said Adam Bambrick, President of BILD Lethbridge Region. “His commitment to professionalism, integrity, and mentorship helped shape our association and left a legacy that continues to influence our industry today. The impact of his leadership is evident not only in his own presidency, but in the generations of leaders he inspired to follow.”

Donison passed away on Nov. 26, 2024.

He will be inducted into the Hall of Fame at the BILD Lethbridge Region Awards of Excellence in Housing Gala on Feb. 6, 2026.
